Alika qualified and is wrestling Thurs 3/23 - Fri 3/24 at Stockton Arena. He is training diligently to qualify for CIF State.
I have been blessed to have such support and resources from family and friends that I was able to travel to both Idaho and North Dakota with the 2011 CA Cadet team. The experience, work and knowledge I acquired has driven me to do better during the high school season. I have goals to make it to HS State and place my senior year. (Photo Tech-Fall.com 2011)

Fall Update
Unfortunately, Alika's transient patella is too unstable for football this season. Alika has decided to rest his knee in hopes that it will heal in time for wrestling season. His goal is to rehabilitate his injury so that he can pursue Varsity Football and Wrestling his Senior year. More updates as the season approaches...

LHS Varsity Football
I guess Alika had a change of heart... he's returned from Fargo and is now on the LHS Varsity football team. He is still recovering from his knee injury but healing well. He'll miss the first scrimmage but by mid September, should be real close to or at 100%.

After Fargo...
Alika and the double ups will fly into LAX today... Alika will take the first flight out of LA into SAC tomorrow morning (Monday) YAY!
First thing first, we will take him in to see his doctor regarding the injury to his knee and allow him some time to rest.
I assume he will want to continue wrestling the remainder of the summer so long as doctor allows it -- fingers are crossed that it's just healing, rehab and strengthening required. Anything more serious... don't even want to go there.
We will keep you all posted.

Fargo - Women's Wrestling
Congratulations to JESSICA RODRIGUEZ who also placed 5th in the Women's Junior Freestyle division! She's a 2x All-American in 2011! CHEEEEHOOOO!
Fargo - Freestyle Update
Alika went 1-2 in Freestyle at Nationals.
He won his first match by fall/pin.
In his second match, he reinjured his knee.
He was defeated in that match and the following match.
Alika is determined and will continue to train to reach his goals in wrestling.
We are all humbled and grateful for all the sponsorships and support and love we have received from everyone... family, friends, coaches and teammates. We are truly blessed and love you all.
